About
Mrs Heaton would like to welcome parents to Eccleshall Education Hub. With over 25 years experience as a tutor and a vast knowledge of the 11 plus procedures. Eccleshall Education Hub has achieved unparalleled success in building the confidence and techniques required for pupils in preparation for their 11 plus exams. Our 36-week course will commence September 2025 until September 2026 at The Old Fire Station, 37 Hight Street, Eccleshall, ST21 6BW. The course consists of lessons covering English, Math, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Comprehension. All books and test materials will be supplied for the children.
Classes
Year 4
The year four course will consist of lessons covering English, Math, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Comprehension. All books and test materials will be supplied by the Hub.
Year four lessons start with the technique needed to attempt the type of questions that the children will find in the Grammar School exams.
Many schools do not study verbal and non-verbal reasoning at all. As it is a large part of the Grammar School entrance exams, it is therefore important that, we introduce these components at the beginning of our course. There are over 30 different types of verbal reasoning techniques and almost as many non-verbal reasoning techniques. We start these in year four to give the children the best advantage in their exams.
Year 5
As the year five course commences, we are embedding the techniques needed, along with building confidence to answer exam questions.
Once the children are settled into year five, we start to introduce short exams of a single subject. Therefore, each week the children will have one short exam and then a teaching session. We rotate the subjects so that over a five week period, they have sat an exam for each subject.
As the year goes on, we add subjects together e.g. math's and non-verbal reasoning and verbal reasoning and English (including comprehension).
The last three months before their Grammar School exam the children have opportunities to take mock exams. Please Note - these are delivered by ourselves, however the Mock exams are held at a different hall to the lessons. This gives the children a truer feeling of the final exam.

Registration & Payment
We are now accepting registration for September 2025 for our 36 week per-year course.
Please note we have limited places for each class.
Please go to our Classes page and click Book Class for your child's desired class.
The initial registration is free, you just need to to secure you child's place on the course.
The remaining 12 equal monthly payments of £105 per month, starting on the 1st of September.
The total for the years course is £1,260.
There is also a choice of 4 mock exams during the summer of 2026 at £49 per mock exam.
